Mountains of Housework
Do you ever get discouraged with trying to keep up with your housework? I most certainly do!!! It seems like everytime I try to get something done the boys are right behind me messing something else up. Then I feel like what's the use of even trying. The boys are not purposely trying to mess the house up because they know I 'm trying to clean up. They are just being themselves and going about their daily activities and having fun. I try to remind myself that there will be plenty of time to keep a perfect house when they leave home, that I just need to enjoy this moment in time. Because whether I believe it now or not eventually I'm going to miss this, and I'll wish they were home again to mess the house up. I guess I'm just a little discouraged with my house keeping right now. (Or rather, the lack of it). I'm trying to get the boys involved in some housework. They have to pick up toys and if they spill it they wipe it up. They don't mind helping at all. They even put their dishes in the sink after meals. They can be good little helpers.
First Try at Dieting Failed
Well, I tried the calorie count dieting thing and I failed miserably! I got on a website that someone told me about and it is very helpful. I found a counter on it that tells you how many calories a day you can eat and still loose the weight you want to loose and how long it will take you to loose. I got through breakfast and lunch and then it all just fell apart! I almost wonder if I am getting low blood sugar or something because by afternoon I was feeling shaky and faint and that sort of thing. I felt awful sick. So I guess I need to find something different. Do you all have any suggestions?

God's China
I took a class at PVBI with Sister Mowery called Women in Cross Cultural Ministries and our first lesson was about God's China. It was really encouraging to me because so many times I have felt worthless, like what I do doesn't count for anything or is very important. What we do as mothers does count and it is a very important job! I think that a lot of the material she taught us applies for those here in the states as well as in other countries, so that is how I came up with the title for my blog.
Always remember that you are special to God and that He created you for a very special purpose. Even though china can be dirty, broken, abused, misused, or discarded by society, china is never a mass of rotten refuse!

Why this blog was created
I am starting this blog for mothers of small children who would enjoy getting a chance to fellowship with others and share advice and all that good stuff. Also, I would like to start loosing weight and I thought it would be neat to have a support group to help encourage me to go through with the weight loss thing. Maybe this will help me get motivated. I could use all the advise and suggestions I can get. Feel free to comment. I hope this blog helps you all too!
