Mountains of Housework
Do you ever get discouraged with trying to keep up with your housework? I most certainly do!!! It seems like everytime I try to get something done the boys are right behind me messing something else up. Then I feel like what's the use of even trying. The boys are not purposely trying to mess the house up because they know I 'm trying to clean up. They are just being themselves and going about their daily activities and having fun. I try to remind myself that there will be plenty of time to keep a perfect house when they leave home, that I just need to enjoy this moment in time. Because whether I believe it now or not eventually I'm going to miss this, and I'll wish they were home again to mess the house up. I guess I'm just a little discouraged with my house keeping right now. (Or rather, the lack of it). I'm trying to get the boys involved in some housework. They have to pick up toys and if they spill it they wipe it up. They don't mind helping at all. They even put their dishes in the sink after meals. They can be good little helpers.

What about husbands that are as messy as the kids?Actually, I can very much relate to the housekeeping thing!I told Mark this morning, I don't know why I even try!(And I only have one toddler-cant imagine 3kids) Keep you chin up!It's a great idea- having the boys help a little. I should try that with Jacob!
I totally understand. It gets very frustrating sometimes. I have two little, very active boys. I also have been trying to get them to help. They now have "chore charts." This works especially well with my oldest. He likes being able to check things off as he does them. I have also found that he doesn't like to mess as much when he has been the one to clean it! :) Thanks for this site. It is really nice!
